I don't know if it's just me, but the PS Motion Controller showcased at E3 seems to be an upgraded version of the Wii Motion Controller. Also, ff this motion controller by Sony PS is a response to Microsoft's Motion and Voice Recognition Camera (See Xbox 360 Tech Spot for POST), which does not require the use of holding a device to control a game, then I would say that Sony needs to come better than this!!!! The PS Wand (as some call it) is not bad as it offers 1:1 mapping with your movements onscreen, but the fact is that hands free gaming is becoming a reality that Sony needs to embrace FULLY!!!!

It's official, The PS3 Motion Controller (Wand) is due in Spring 2010, according to an interview by Time Magazine with Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai.

At TGS 2009, Sony revealed some games that will support their Motion Controller. Here's the list:


Ape Escape (Working Title)

Echochrome 2 (Working Title)

Eccentric Slider (Working Title)

Sing and Draw (Working Title)

Champions of Time (Working Title)

Motion Party (Working Title)

The Shoot (Working Title)

Tower (Working Title)

PAIN(*2)

Flower(*2)

Hustle Kings(*2)

High Velocity Bowling(*2)

EyePet(*2)

 

 


*1 Titles to be released will depend by countries or regions.

*2 Motion control function will be added by network update, etc.

 



Also, according to the PlayStation Blog, "...LittleBigPlanet and Resident Evil 5 were also demonstrated to be working with the motion controller."

I wonder if sony ps will develop the racing wheel for the ps3 as wireless, or motion sensor as well?
